From political decisions to viral memes—these interactive collages act as visual summary. This Week in America reimagines the breaking-news cycle as interactive, digital collages. As someone who is perpetually online and has a vested interest in staying current on politics, trends and culture-shifting moments, I started creating an interactive news concept. This is a one stop shop for staying in the know and in the now without having to comb through tons of different new sites to gather information.

Users can toggle between with different hot spots on the collages to open and close relevant summaries of each event. The summarizes are designed to provide a quick glimpse into why it’s relevant. From there, users can select their preferred news source to read more about a specific issue. Summaries are designed to discuss context and impact, highlighting both factual information and cultural reaction at once.
